As social media’s popularity continues to grow, so does its marketing utility. It is now vital for companies to have a Facebook, a Twitter, an Instagram, and even a Pinterest to compete for online recognition. However, merely a presence is not sufficient to have an impact upon your company’s standing in social media. After taking an active role on these outlets, the next most important thing you can do is make your company’s social media brand a recognizable one. Here are some tips to do so:

1. Be creative with your logo. Use your logo as a base to print clever signs and paraphernalia, and then post content containing them on your social media sites. This will generate interest in your company by demonstrating your creativity and commitment to engaging your users on social media. At the same time, it will ramp up recognition of your brand and your company.

2. Don’t be afraid to use video. With the advent of Vine and Instagram video, you now have an opportunity to reach your target social media users with a short video to promote and give a personality to your brand. Get started with a weekly Vine series, or a daily Instagram video. Feature your logo, products or office. This is a fun way to interact with your consumers, and increase your brand recognition.

3. Be consistent. Make sure your pictures and videos are not just a random collection of brand promotion, but pieces in a series. This way, both the media you are posting, and the manner in which you are posting it promote your brand. Take your product and pose with it in random places near your office, or give it to strangers and have them pose with it. Start a Vine series in which your product goes on imaginary adventures. In doing so, your company’s logo will become more recognizable, and your consumers will be both more interested in and more engaged with your content.
