We've all been there before: Your beautiful, custom-made cover photo is finally done uploading to Facebook and you excitedly refresh your page to see how it looks. But wait, there's a problem: the entire left side of your image is missing, throwing off the entire composition of your cover photo and ruining the entire aesthetic of your page.
Unfortunately, Facebook, Twitter and most other social networks have very strict regulations for the dimensions of their cover photos and profile pictures. While most of them will attempt to resize your images for you, they often do so unsuccessfully, giving your image that oh-so-undesired warped and stretched appearance. Fortunately, the ideal dimensions for photos are readily available online, but who has time to Google that?
Below, you will find a cheat sheet that lists and shows the dimensions of photos for various social networks. Follow this simple guide, and your photos will stay beautiful and properly-scaled!
